Residence planning for the family

Family Members

Plan the application around eligible relatives and their individual documentation.

Family Inclusion Details

One of the most attractive features of the Greek Golden Visa is the generous family reunification policy:

  • Spouses & Registered Partners: The legally married spouse or a partner with a signed cohabitation agreement before a Greek notary (applicable to same-sex and opposite-sex couples).
  • Children under 21: Unmarried children under 21 years of age are automatically included. Upon reaching 21, their permit can be renewed as an independent permit until they turn 24.
  • Parents & Parents-in-Law: The parents of both the main applicant and their spouse can be included, with no strict financial dependency requirements.

Social Rights and Limitations

Family members gain access to free public education (schools and universities) and healthcare services in Greece. The Golden Visa does not grant a right to seek local employment; however, holders are allowed to establish, register, and own businesses or act as board members in Greece.

Case-specific review

Every investment and family structure should be reviewed individually.

The Golden Visa combines property, immigration, tax and family documentation. Because rules can change, professional advice should be obtained before signing or transferring funds.
